The CAD department staff members are constantly working towards the establishment and expansion of international activities with educational, scientific, and commercial institutions in Europe and all around the world. Senior and postgraduate students are actively involved in the international activities. Faculty members undergo trainings, give lectures, organize international seminars and participate in various scientific and technical conferences at the universities in Germany, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Russia, Belarus, and others.
The main purpose of the international cooperation is to gain experience and establish high standards of scientific and teaching activities in accordance with the Bologna process international rules and requirements. Through international contacts the CAD department faculty members are familiar with modern teaching trends, methodological training and technological base. This allows them to adapt and apply the best experience of the Europe leading universities in their own teaching activities.
The department has signed agreements on joint educational programs with the Republic of Poland leading universities:
Students play a significant role in the implementation of these programs. They participate directly in scientific work, get a chance to do an internship in foreign educational institutions, and the best graduates-bachelors can continue their master and PhD studies at the above mentioned universities.
The department has developed and implements "International Lecturer" program which provides special lectures delivered by leading foreign specialists and giving lectures in the foreign universities. For this program the department invites foreign professors and doctors who are leading experts in the field of modeling and automated design of the complex technical objects and systems. All lectures are open and held in a specialized multimedia classroom.
The department staff are actively involved in national and international research projects and grants, including those within the European Framework Programme (FP5, FP6, FP7), INTERREG (III, IV), TEMPUS, ERASMUS, bilateral Polish-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-German research projects, etc.
The international contacts of teachers and students become a way of professional knowledge broadening and deepening. Experience gained during meetings, discussions, and collaboration with foreign colleagues is used both in educational and research processes and allows the department to work at the level of modern international requirements.
Since 2000 the leading teachers of the department (M. Lobur, V. Teslyuk, M. Andreychuk, etc.) are members of the American Institute of IEEE.
The main directions of the department international cooperation:
- Participation of teachers, postgraduate students and students in the international meetings, seminars and conferences.
- Joint preparation of the project proposals for participation in international programs and grants.
- International grants and research projects development, joint project research conduction.
- Students exchange and introductory practice in the leading foreign institutions.
- Teachers exchange, oversea trainings and specialized lectures delivered by leading Ukrainian and foreign experts.
- Preparation and publication of scientific articles together with foreign colleagues.
